In a surprising collaboration that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations reverberate through the darkness." The plot presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret cult.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an special katana alongside several items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also introduces the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
